Wheelchair Accessible Glamping

Yes, you read that right, there really is a place where you can go glamping as a wheelchair user: Canvas & Campfires

This amazing glamping site is on the side of a beautiful valley in Mid Wales and we were lucky enough to spend an idyllic four days there this Easter.

We stayed in Enfys - a fully wheelchair accessible safari tent with a large kitchen living dining area, wet room, double bedroom, bunk bed room and a special wooden raised bed.

Those are the facts but they don't come close to explaining how fabulously comfortable, relaxing and homely Enfys is. There was nowhere I couldn't access in my powerchair, nothing out of my reach and in many ways I was more able to be independent than I am at home.

We were blessed with the most amazing weather which meant we got to enjoy evenings around the fire pit and day times with the animals, as well as lots of trips to West Wales beaches.

But even if the weather had been more inclement I know we would have had an amazing time thanks to the advice and friendship of Dan and Ellie and the connection to nature which immediately calms and restores the soul.

I highly recommend Canvas & Campfires and can't wait to return very very soon.

And finally... As an artist I was so inspired by the site itself as well as the places we visited in West Wales. Here are some of the paintings I have created.
