Art Guilds, Societies, Trails, Open Studios and Platforms

I thought it might be interesting to share a little something about each of the various art organisations I'm a member of along with my art page within each and what is going on this year. So here goes, in alphabetical order...



Acorn Open Studios

Acorn Open Studios started as a new venture in 2024 when nine artists, all based to the east of Reading, joined together and invited you into their creative space. Already, in November 2026, 30 artists and makers are taking part.

Save the date: 7-8 November. New in 2026 each artist is sharing information about the accessibility of their space, using the toolkit developed by Emma Major.

Outside In

Earlier this year I became an Outside In Ambassador, helping to support other artists and help new artists find Outside In and access the support provided.

Outside In say.... We are an award winning national charity supporting artists who encounter significant barriers to the art world due to health, disability, social circumstance, or isolation. We aim to create a more inclusive art world by working with artists to develop their creative practice and skills and increase opportunities for them by working in collaboration with a range of arts organisations.

Disability Arts Online

Disability Arts Online (DAO) is a UK-based charitable arts organisation led by disabled people. We serve artists and arts audiences who face disabling barriers and, in doing so, enable social change. DAO occupies a unique global position with our website showcasing disability arts content, accessible digital gallery, artist development programmes, partnership and consultancy work, accessible events and a vibrant community of disabled creatives.




Reading Guild of Artists

I am an exhibiting member of the RGA. Reading Guild of Artists (RGA) was founded in 1930. It is a diverse group of professional and amateur artists in the Berkshire area.

Wokingham Arts Society

Wokingham Art Society is an active organisation for artists.

Our aim is to provide all artists and art lovers in the Wokingham area with the opportunity to enjoy and learn about art and to engage in the making of art in a supportive environment.

Wokingham Arts Trail

The 2026 trail will run from Saturday 19 to Sunday 20 September. All venues are free to visit and are open between 10:30 - 17:30 on both days.

This year I will be sharing my art in Venue 7 of the Wokingham Arts Trail at WADE - 40 Reading Road. RG41 1EH


Reading Rotary Art Fair

On the final weekend in October, Reading Rotary organises the Art and Craft Fair in the Oakview room at Leighton Park School, Reading.  It is open to the public on the Saturday from 10am to 5pm and on the Sunday from 10am to 4pm. They will also be welcome at the preview event on the Friday evening.  As usual, all the proceeds contribute to funds for food in our community and other Rotary charities.



Art @St Luke's

St Luke's magnificent church hall on Erlegh Road in Reading hosts a dozen local artists at their art markets. Hosting a wide range of art from painting to photography, book making to printing, sculpture to jewellery; all made locally. Browse the stalls, meet the artists, have a cosy cup of tea & some homemade cake. Next dates: 21st Nov 11:30-4pm.



Plus... I am also one of the leaders of the Creative Challenge Community on Facebook. This developed out of the 64 Million Artists FB group where they hosted the January Challenge and weekly challenges for many years. A small group of us didn't want the creative group or prompts to end as 64 Million Artists stepped away, so together we continue to provide a weekly prompt.


And, as you might expect I'm constantly learning in my art and poetry by being active in art and poetry groups, some of them faith based and others bringing together disabled people or those passionate about social justice.
