This year, as my eyesight has further reduced, I have been creating art by touch rather than sight. I have been creating with foam clay and also polymer clay, used in this piece, which retains its tactile details when dry.  The colours of the clay made me think about all the things I can no longer see, but also of the things in nature no one can see without scientific equipment.  From there it was a minuscule leap to Microbes.

Microbes live beyond human sight.  

They are as visible to me as any organisms

This first piece in this series was originally exhibited at the Wokingham Art Society Summer Exhibition 2026, presented in a black frame, measuring 20cm*20cm.

The price does not include postage and packing.  The cost of this will be calculated upon ordering when a postage address is provided.
