Smudgy, blurry, gloriously messy ministry

David @shervingtond shared in Twitter that he's been writing a reflection on how training for lay ministry and ministry itself is gloriously messy, blurry and smudgy. I created these paintings in response. I think that most of us who are journeying in faith, in ministry or otherwise, spend most of our time feeling like we are in the smudgy, blurry, glorious mess; and very little in the top left all shiny focused star. Where are you right now?

Does it help to know you're not alone when everything is feeling messy, smudgy or blurry?
