David @shervingtond shared in Twitter that he's been writing a reflection on how training for lay ministry and ministry itself is gloriously messy, blurry and smudgy. I created these paintings in response. I think that most of us who are journeying in faith, in ministry or otherwise, spend most of our time feeling like we are in the smudgy, blurry, glorious mess; and very little in the top left all shiny focused star.
