Many of us find ourselves overwhelmed with negative feelings about ourselves and the world, laden with grief from all sorts of losses in life, dragged down by expectations we can't ever meet, consumed by anxiety, fear and stress, or just clinging to life goals which are no longer realistic.

I know this personally because I was doing it in many aspects of my life. Holding on to so many negative thoughts and feelings was using up my physical and emotional energy and getting me no where.

With the help of skilled counselling I examined the loads I was carrying and decided to let them go. At first it seemed an impossible task, and letting go of negative self talk caught me in a cycle of self sabotage; but once I started catching myself in negative thoughts it became easier as easier to let them go.

Of course reading through a series of illustrations is not going to suddenly help you let go of all the things which are bringing you down, but perhaps one of these might be a great reminder to let something go, or be the push you need to find a great counsellor to help you make the change.

And if nothing else, they are a great reminder for me on days when I'm finding it hard to think clearly.
