Nature's softest blush

Dreaming of a better world
Everyone equal

Gentle blooms whisper
Colours dance in soft sunlight
Nature's love unfolds
Strange harmonies resonate
Peaceful collaboration

Within seclusion
I discovered
More truthful connection

Where do you wander
In your minds eye
Do you weave and wonder
Where the words fly?
Do you lose yourself
In each page at a time
Or spin new tales
Inspired from the lines?
Can you hear the voice
Of the author long gone
Reading earnestly
Or singing as song?
However you journey
Through stories and rhymes
I hope you find an escape
From the hardest of times

Waves whisper escape
Salt breezes kiss the soft shore
Nature calls me home
...
Sat by the sea with the sun on my face
As the end of a hurricane passes this place
Stirring up currents so waves hit the shore
Large and unwieldy with yet more in store
As I sit here surrounded by natural power
I slowly relax with the great higher power
Who listens to my worries, concerns and fears
Accepting my prayers through laughter and tears
Buildings are lovely for group songs and hymns
But under this sky God connects with my limbs
A bracing experience of worship and praise
Sat at one with the sun, the wind and the waves
God thank you for meeting me here in this place
Hearing my prayers at a natural pace

Gossamer threads glow
Woven light in morning dew
Whispers of the dawn

Grateful Glimpses of Heaven
Though trials come and shadows dim the light
And suffering casts a pall upon my soul
I find a space where everything feels right
A haven where my scattered parts feel whole
For precious hours we simply choose to be
No grand designs or striving to achieve
Just simple joys in quiet company
A gentle calm where time can take it's leave
Setbacks sting as challenges remain
Yet gratitude's beacon lights the darkest night
Each moment shared washes over the pain
And fills my world with comforting soft light
I’m thankful for these times without oppression
A taste of peace, a glimpse perhaps of heaven

Parting is such sweet sorrow they say
As shadows stretch beneath the setting sun
Yet whispers of angels guide us each day
Their gentle songs reminders that we are one
Though distance may weave threads of aching pain
In memories held tight our hearts unite
The stars above will shimmer bright with rain
And lead us through the dark into the light
So let us weep but not with hearts of woe
For every end brings a new beginning near
With love's embrace our spirits softly grow
In every parting hope will persevere
With whispers of the angels guiding our way
We'll find new paths where light and love now play

Playgrounds devoid of whispers
Create inertia

In every heart a hidden truth will dwell
Beneath the mask we wear to guard our soul
Yet home where love's embrace knows all we tell
Unveils the light that makes the spirit whole
With laughter shared and quiet moments sweet
The walls that hold our memories so dear
Reveal the bonds that time cannot defeat
In every glance they understand our fear
No gilded halls or far off lands can claim
The warmth that weaves our stories into one
For in such love we find our true soul name
The place where all our weary hearts are won
Come back to home where love's warm light does shine
With those who see beneath the mask so fine

Longest days in silent pain
Will we live again

We were just a summer dream full of spring hope
As laughter danced like sunlight on the waves
In long golden hours our spirits elope
As our hearts whisper secrets in caves
Autumn’s call brought leaves in swirling flight
We hunkered down embracing the chill in the air
With cozy fires we found our heart's delight
Inviting winter’s warmth so bright and rare
As snowflakes fell we wrapped in tender grace
Each flurry holding promises pure and bright
On frosted nights we carved our sacred space
Two souls entwined beneath the starry light
As seasons' turn our love grows ever more true
A timeless bond that summer warms anew

The stars in the bright sky observe from on high
Their silver light dancing on earth's weary face
With wonder they gaze as time whispers why
Questioning our hearts in this vast empty space
Why with such beauty do we turn away
From mountains of kindness where love should reside
Each flicker and glow is a blessing today
A plea for our hearts to give up human pride
They watch as we falter and still they remain
Unfazed by the chaos humanity refines
In silence they twinkle through joy and through pain
A reminder of beauty that in darkness shines
Tonight let's reflect on their luminous joy
And cherish the world that is more than our toy

As melting ice reflects the morning light
Whilst gentle waves wash our cares aside
Let whispers on the breeze bring pure delight
The crisp cool air unveils a tranquil peace
Our fevered souls now soothed by nature's grace
With every step our burdens gently ease
Within these moments time we can embrace
The sun ascends and light begins to glow
As laughter dances on the water's face

Pain is irrevocably in love with the dark
Taking advantage of the long silent hours
As dawn breaks, your words are a light, a spark
Lightening my heavy heart
Then, when the dam of grief breaks
You pull me from the river to safety again
Reminding me that I can still fight
Though it's also ok to accept what will be
On the days I long to hibernate
You whisper conversations into the void
And when yet another night approaches
You whisper a light of hope in the dark

I’ve always dreamed of the skies
Where sparkling stardust never lies
On a planet so bright
With colours and light
I’d dance among clouds as they rise

We are Marionette puppets on our strings
Pulled by powers never clearly seen
Pitched in opposition just for fun
Then abandoned when their need for us is done
Can we break the bonds which hold is tight
Stand in strength as one for what is right

Citrus hearts birth love both sharp and bright
With lingering lemon kisses soft and sweet
A tangy joy that fills the day with light
Followed by goodbyes' always bitter treat
Life lessons learned from limes so green and tart
A subtle sting with wisdom hard to glean
They etch themselves upon the wounded heart
A vibrant shade within love's fading scene
Though sweetness fades, a memory remains
Of citrus hues that painted skies above
Bittersweetness lingers in the veins
A testament to complicated love
The zest of passion sharp and ever bold
A story etched in flavours to unfold

Perhaps we should burn the world without concern
Letting nature regenerate without us degenerates
Just stop for a minute, there's no need to pivot
Because this is exactly humanity's reality
Instead we should listen to scientific wisdom
To ensure future generations can sustain populations
This world will survive even if we can not thrive
So let's abandon our greed and take nature's lead
